Huron Street Junior Public School (GR. JK-06)

Huron Street Public School is situated in the Annex neighbourhood. The school originated in a building on Huron Street south of Bloor Street in the 1880's. In 1890, a school was built on the present site. In 1958, the 1890 building was demolished and replaced by the present, two-storey structure.
- The school serves about 400 students. Approximately half of the students are of English-speaking backgrounds, the remaining students represent a wide variety of language groups. Huron Street Public School offers programs from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The Superfriends Daycare facility is an on-site school-age daycare for students in Grades 1-6 and they also run the Before and After School Care program for students in Kindergarten.
