Lynngate Junior Public School (GR. JK-06)
"What does the fox say"? All classrooms are referred to as a Canadian animal to avoid stigmatism.
Originally built in 1960, Lynngate Junior Public School is situated in Agincourt. Lynngate became a junior school in 1969 with the opening of John Buchan Sr PS. We have 175 students from around the world, particularly China and Sri Lanka. Many students are English Language Learners. Lynngate shares its facility with the YMCA Daycare. We also receive some students from the Good Sheppard Daycare, on Birchmount Avenue.
Our Mission Statement: Each member of the Lynngate family - community, home, and school - is committed to educate every child in its care by providing the skills, knowledge, and values necessary for individuals to be capable, healthy and responsible participants in Canadian society.
