Virtual Budget Town Halls

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, two virtual Budget Town Halls will be held to ensure that the community has an opportunity to hear directly from staff about the TDSB’s 2021-22 budget, and also ask questions and provide feedback.

When are the virtual Budget Town Hall meetings?

Two virtual Budget Town Halls have been scheduled for Thursday, June 10, 2021 to accommodate as many community members as possible.

How do I access the virtual Budget Town Halls?

You can access the virtual Budget Town Halls by clicking on the links below. On these pages, you can also register in advance to receive an email reminder before the meeting begins.

What can I expect during the virtual Budget Town Halls?

The meetings will begin with a live presentation by staff on the TDSB’s 2021-22 budget. Participants will then be able to ask questions or leave comments via ScribbleLive (text only, not on video). These questions will be answered by staff live, on video. All questions and comments will be posted to the ScribbleLive feed beside the screen. For those who cannot attend the meetings, recordings of the presentations and the ScribbleLive feed will be posted online.

Can I review the draft budget in advance of the meetings?

The TDSB’s draft 2021-22 operating budget was presented at a Special FBEC on June 1, 2021. Additional supporting documents, including all budget reports that have been presented to committee so far, can be accessed on the TDSB’s budget website .

Are there other ways to share feedback on the budget?

Deputations at committee meetings are encouraged at any time.
