External applicants entering schools and/or working with students require a Police Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS).
Toronto Police Services will conduct full disclosure/vulnerable sector screenings for those applicants who live in Toronto. Please download these forms:

- Applicants who reside outside of Toronto would need to get their full disclosure/vulnerable sector screening done via police services in their own jurisdiction based on their home address.
- During this time, the TDSB will accept emails with copies of VSS’s during the closure provided they confirm in writing “The document attached is a scan of the original document and has not been altered in any way” in their email. Please also include your role with TDSB, ERRC approval letter, and name of TDSB contact when emailing your VSS for clearance. Please scan and email us the original valid VSS results at policereferencecheckoffice@tdsb.on.ca.
- TDSB must see a VSS within 6 months of the issue date in order for it to be acceptable.
