As another school year comes to an end, we want to thank you for your ongoing support of your child, their school and our TDSB community. Your patience, flexibility and willingness to work together has helped us navigate the many challenges of the pandemic. And through this experience, we have all learned, grown and are even thriving in many ways.

To name just a few highlights of this school year, we:

• Supported students every day through engaging learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom, resulting in, for example, 90% of students in Grades 9 and 10 earning an Academic Math credit;
• Launched the Combatting Hate and Racism: Student Learning Strategy;
• Celebrated the opening of the Centre of Excellence for Black Student Achievement;
• Augmented supports for students’ mental health and well-being;
• Opened the Boyne Natural Science School as an Indigenous Land-based Learning Site speaks to the importance of Indigenous education across the TDSB schools; and
• Supported and connected with our parents/guardians and community through conferences, webinars and school-based learning opportunities.

Over the last few months, It has been wonderful to once again welcome students and families into our schools and to see communities celebrating milestones in person.

We look ahead to the fall with optimism and excitement, and hope that you have the opportunity to relax and spend quality time with loved ones over the break.
