Thursday, January 27, 2022 is International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

We are providing “The Tattooed Torah” for TDSB students in Grades 4-8.

Based on a true story, and narrated by the late Ed Asner, this short animated film (21 minutes) has won numerous awards at film festivals across the US.

Included with the film are two activities. Precious Possessions and an After Activity - Here are links to the activities:

The Precious Possessions activity will take students through a discussion of precious possessions and ultimately to a better understanding of why they can connect to non-material things. The After Activity has students writing and creating their own precious possessions.

This event is presented by the TDSB‘s Jewish Heritage Committee, Liberation 75, and the USC Shoah Foundation.
