Trustee Alexander Brown was acclaimed Chair of the Toronto District School Board during this evening’s annual Organizational Board meeting. Trustee Christopher Mammoliti was also acclaimed as Vice-Chair.

Chair Brown was elected in 2014 as the Trustee for Ward 12 (Willowdale). He was first elected as Chair of the Board in August 2020 during a Special Board Meeting. Chair Brown currently sits on the following TDSB committees: Special Education Advisory Committee, Environmental Sustainability Community Advisory Committee, 2SLGBTQ+ Community Advisory Committee, Urban Indigenous Community Advisory Committee, and was a long-term director with the Toronto Lands Corporation.

Vice-Chair Mammoliti was elected as the Trustee for Ward 4 (Humber River - Black Creek) in 2018 and was elected as Vice-Chair in 2020. He previously served as Chair of the TDSB’s Government and Policy Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee and Director Search Committee. Vice-Chair Mammoliti currently sits on the following TDSB committees: Parent Involvement Advisory Committee, Director’s Performance Appraisal Committee, Urban Indigenous Community Advisory Committee, Equity Policy Community Advisory Committee and the newly established Board Self-Improvement Planning Committee.
