On Wednesday, October 30, 2019, the TDSB Student Senate held a by-election to fill the following positions:

• Grade 7/8 Representative for Learning Centre 1; and
• Grade 7/8 Representative for Learning Centre 4.

These positions went unfilled during the Student Senate Election last spring.

We are pleased to announce that the following students have been elected:

• Ian Kumalo, Portage Trail Community School, Grade 8 – Learning Centre 1; and
• Ava Ferreira, Brock Public School, Grade 8 – Learning Centre 4.

A total of 759 Grade 7 and 8 students voted in Learning Centres 1 and 4, using the successful online system that was first introduced for the spring election for the 2019-20 Student Trustees and Student Senate Executives.
