Categories: Happenings @ TDSB, Great Things

On August 28, 2019 we are welcoming more than 1,000 TDSB administrators back to school to get ready for the 2019-2020 school year. Hearing directly from students is not only a commitment; it’s something we put into action! We are looking for students to participate in two key areas: a student panel and student performers. Is this you? Let us know!

Student Panel

This panel, moderated by the Director of Education John Malloy, will focus on what it looks like to transform student learning in the TDSB. The Director will help lead the discussion that explores everything from math and literacy to inclusion and special education to pathways. We’re looking for a few more secondary school students to participate who are comfortable speaking in front of a large crowd and sharing their ideas and opinions with the goal of helping educators make meaningful decisions that will impact students across the Board.

Want to be considered? Let us know in about 100 words what makes you a valuable participant in this conversation. Email us at socialmedia@tdsb.on.ca with "Student Panel" in the subject line by July 19, 2019.

**You must be available in person for the morning of Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Central Technical School at Bloor and Bathurst.

Student Performers

TDSB students are talented! Are you a student who can perform? Do you sing, dance or do something else that is entertaining? We are looking for students or groups to participate and bring some fun and energy to this business meeting!

Want to be considered? Send us a video of your talent! Email us at socialmedia@tdsb.on.ca with "Student Performer" in the subject line by July 19, 2019.

**You must be available in person for the morning of Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Central Technical School at Bloor and Bathurst. Performances will take place in an auditorium with a stage.
