Ward 05 PIAC Election April 7 2025

List of Candidates with Brief Bios

Carly Cohen

I am a parent of 3 children attending a TDSB school in Ward 5. I am a lawyer and as such feel I can be a strong advocate for parents in the community and foster meaningful engagement between parents/guardians and the school system.
I hope to promote engagement and encourage and support parent involvement in their children's education.
I hope to support communication and act as a bridge between parents and the school board to ensure concerns, ideas, and feedback from families are heard in shaping the TDSB’s priorities by sharing the perspectives and experiences of parents.
Last, I hope to assist in shaping the TDSB’s priorities by sharing the perspectives and experiences of parents.

Aaron Kucharczuk

My name is Aaron Kucharczuk and I am a TDSB parent of 3 children. I have worked as legal counsel to several public sector organizations for over a decade and have a solid grasp on the operation and governance of public sector organizations like the TDSB. I have also been a fierce advocate in the education system, fighting to improve educational standards, school environments and transparency with new policies implemented at the provincial and TDSB level as a direct result of my advocacy. If elected PIAC rep, you can count on me to zealously advocate for our children and their education.
