The electronic translation service on the Toronto District School Board website is hosted by Google Translate, a third party service. The TDSB does not guarantee or warrant the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any translated information.
The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 100 languages, but does not capture all languages or dialects.
The basic translation goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material. Before you act on translated information, we encourage you to confirm any facts that are important to you or may affect any decisions you make.
The Toronto District School Board is committed to equity and community engagement, and by providing this tool, we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English.
Due to the TDSB closure between March 14 and April 5, a number of Arts events have been cancelled (up to June 2020). In some cases, it is because the event falls within the closure dates and in other cases it is because there are associated costs and/or planning and preparation activities required that are no longer possible to complete. Secondary music showcase featuring performances that represent the diversity of secondary school music programs across the TDSB, engaging over 1000 secondary music students. Organized by the Toronto Secondary School Music Teacher Association and supported by the TDSB Arts department.

System-wide Celebration of student voice and creativity through the Arts, presented by The Toronto District School Board & The Toronto Arts Council. Through dance and spoken word, students from grades 7-12 respond to issues and questions that speak to them in response to the prompt INSPIRE. ACT. TRANSFORM. Elementary music showcase featuring performances that represent the diversity of elementary school music programs across the TDSB, engaging over 1000 music students in grades 4-8. This student performance opportunity and elementary music teacher professional learning is organized by the TDSB Arts department. More information is available at the Spring Festival Concert website.
Concert May 20, 2020 at Roy Thomson Hall, 60 Simcoe St @ 7PM
Grade 6-8 instrumental students combine in large community-based ensembles and will perform at the 134th Spring Festival Concert. This opportunity rotates geographically year to year. Details about this program are available on the TDSB All-City Ensembles website.

This program is facilitated by the TDSB Arts Department in collaboration with the TDSB Urban Indigenous Education Centre. Through the art form of theatre, students collectively explore themes of truth, identity, and relationships in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action. Secondary students tour grade 7-8 schools to perform and engage in conversations about the themes in the play. More information is available on the
