Choices: Secondary Schools Course Selection & Planning Guide is published online annually to encourage parents/guardians* and students to keep themselves informed about the opportunities available to them, both in and beyond secondary school. It is the goal of this publication to provide information that will help with the decision-making process that must occur around the course selection process.
The ‘Choices: 9-12 Placemat’ is your planning tool for TDSB high school. With the support of your Guidance Counsellor and teachers, you’ll learn about career planning, program options, expectations and responsibilities while on your way to earning your diploma. All students in Grade 8 and high school receive a copy of the ‘Choices: 9-12 Placemat’ that will outline the step-by-step process for choosing courses and help you make decisions for the following year.

Program and course selection for September is made during the months of January to March. Course selection will take place using the myBlueprint online tool to help students build customized high school course plans including; goal setting, education planning & identifying post-secondary options.
