Google Translate Limitations Disclaimer
The electronic translation service on the Toronto District School Board website is hosted by Google Translate, a third party service. The TDSB does not guarantee or warrant the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any translated information.
The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 100 languages, but does not capture all languages or dialects.
The basic translation goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material. Before you act on translated information, we encourage you to confirm any facts that are important to you or may affect any decisions you make.
The Toronto District School Board is committed to equity and community engagement, and by providing this tool, we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English.
Silverthorn Community School is located south of Eglinton, East of Keele. Currently, enrolment is approximately 330 students who are representative of families from an array of cultural backgrounds. As a K-8 school we offer a learning environment where staff, students and the community enjoy learning and growing together. In addition to our FDK to 8 programs, we offer five Intensive Support Programs and our school is fully wheelchair accessible. At Silverthorn C.S. we work hard to create learning environments that are inclusive, safe, nurturing, positive and respectful. We value equity, innovation, accountability and accessibility.
In September, 2011, Kane Middle School became Silverthorn Community School following extensive renovations. Students who formerly attended Silverthorn Junior Public School, which is now closed, moved across the parking lot into the former Kane building at that time. Silverthorn Community School now teaches students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.
