Oriole Park Public School is located at Eglinton Avenue and Avenue Road, nestled in a well-established community of mostly single unit homes. The school opened in 1928 under the name of College View Avenue School with portables on the present site and an enrolment of 28 students. The current school building was first occupied in 1930 and renamed Oriole Park Public School. A wing was added in 1939 and a gymnasium in 1974. The current enrollment is 275 students. The school has both a primary and junior play area, a basketball court, soccer field and two baseball diamonds. The learning commons includes a computer lab. Oriole Park has a highly regarded academic program and offers a broad range of extracurricular activities.
At Oriole Park School, all students are provided a nurturing and supportive environment that will challenge them intellectually, socially and emotionally. We strive to instill in our children a love of learning that will enable them to be caring, competent and creative members of their families, communities and our society.
