Thistletown Collegiate Institute (TCI) is a safe and caring school dedicated to student success. Our longstanding tradition of academic excellence and rich co-curricular programs make TCI a very rewarding place of learning. We honour all pathways and provide great opportunities for all students to prepare for university, college, apprenticeships and the world of work. In addition to a very strong core program, we offer our students terrific opportunities in the Arts, Physical Education, Co-operative Education and Technology including three Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) Programs as well as a Gifted and Enriched Program. Many of our graduates go on to post-secondary institutions with prestigious awards and scholarships.
At TCI, we offer a full range of courses in our academic programs. Business, computer and technology, programs, including Robotics, are part of our compliment of courses. E-Learning and Continuous Intake Co-op courses also provide different methods to engage students in learning. TCI has great technology shops and a fully equipped industrial kitchen to support our very successful Food and Hospitality Program and our Robotics Program. Our literacy initiatives focus on enhancing the essential skills in reading and writing so that our students are better prepared upon graduation. We have a strong Mathematics and Science program, with a cross curricular focus on building numeracy skills across the curriculum.
