While it is our goal to accommodate as many requests for Virtual Learning in the 2025 - 2026 school year, we cannot guarantee that all requests will be met.

French Immersion, Extended French, LEAP, Alternative Schools, and Student Interest Programs continue to be available in-person only.

Eligibility Requirements for Remote Learning in the TDSB

All students who opt for remote learning must actively reside in Ontario throughout the year for the time of instruction. Students who apply will be required to make an in-person appointment to provide proof of residency in Ontario at the beginning of the school year. Students who do not provide proof of residency in person, will be demitted from remote learning.

To develop the classroom community, enhance student engagement, and build connection with one another, students are expected to have their cameras on during class time. Students are expected to fully participate and attend class regularly.

Students who reside outside of the City of Toronto, whose home school board does not offer a remote learning option,  may apply to attend Remote Learning in the TDSB. In the event of non-attendance, students will return to their home board.
