Google Translate Limitations Disclaimer
The electronic translation service on the Toronto District School Board website is hosted by Google Translate, a third party service. The TDSB does not guarantee or warrant the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any translated information.
The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 100 languages, but does not capture all languages or dialects.
The basic translation goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material. Before you act on translated information, we encourage you to confirm any facts that are important to you or may affect any decisions you make.
The Toronto District School Board is committed to equity and community engagement, and by providing this tool, we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English.
Charles H. Best Elementary and Middle School began life in 1978 as an amalgamation of Wilmington, Cedar Grove and Dufferin Heights schools which all closed their doors in June of that year. Our school was named after Charles H. Best who discovered insulin and gave hundreds of millions of diabetics the chance to survive. The school has a proud history, and the desire to serve the community continues to the present day. The school houses Grade 5 to Grade 8 students.
Regular Grade 5 to 8 classes take place at our school. In addition, we have several specialized classes in our school: a Learning Disabilities class, a Developmental Delay class, an Intermediate Autism class, a Forest Valley Transitional Behaviour class, and a strong English as a Second Language class. As well as our vibrant Grade 5 to 8 programs, CH Best houses the Wilmington/Best Childcare and also hosts International Language School on Saturday.
