International Youth Summer Camp Highlights


Empowering Future Leaders with 21st Century Skills

Join us in Toronto for an unforgettable summer!

Hosted by the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), our camp fosters leadership skills, cultural
exchange, and global citizenship among students aged 12-17 from around the world. Enhance your
leadership abilities, improve your English, and make international friends while exploring Canada's
largest city.


Dates: Each week of the camp is designed as an independent module, offering unique experiences and activities. Students can choose to join one, two, or all three weeks to customize their camp journey.

Program Themes, Dates, and Activities

  • Camp 1: Global Citizenship
  • July 07 - July 12
  • Explore cultural diversity and global connections through exciting activities.
  • Included Activities:
    • CN Tower: Stunning views of Toronto.
    • Ripley’s Aquarium: Dive into marine life exhibits.
    • Royal Ontario Museum (ROM): Discover global art and nature.
    • Niagara Falls: Experience the natural wonder firsthand.
       
  • Camp 2: Environmental Leadership
  • July 14 - July 19
  • Learn about sustainability and conservation through outdoor adventures.
  • Included Activities:
    • Outdoor Education Centres: 2-night stay, outdoor, eco-learning experiences.
    • Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO): Explore art with environmental themes.
       
  • Camp 3: Innovation and Technology
  • July 21 - July 24
  • Step into the world of tech and innovation with hands-on experiences.
  • Included Activities:
    • Niagara-on-the-Lake & Niagara Falls: Discover one of Earth’s natural wonders.
    • University Tour: Visit a leading university in Toronto.
    • IT & Tech Company Tour: Explore a top tech company.

  • 1 Week (July 07 – July 12) : CAD $2,000
  • 2 Weeks (July 14 – July 19) : CAD $3,800
  • 3 Weeks (July 21– July 24) : CAD $5,600

Sample Schedule: Week 1 - Global Citizenship

  • Monday: Effective Communication
  • Introduction to global citizenship and communication styles across cultures.
  • Team-building activities focusing on collaboration and active listening.
     
  • Tuesday: Leadership in a Global Context
  • Workshops on leadership styles, conflict resolution, and decision-making in a globalized world.
  • Group discussions on fostering inclusive leadership.
     
  • Wednesday: Collaboration & Diplomacy
  • Full-day excursion to Niagara Falls, focusing on intercultural skills, with reflections on teamwork in a global environment.
     
  • Thursday: Cultural Competence & Negotiation
  • Leadership workshops on cultural competence, followed by a visit to the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) to explore the role of culture in global leadership.
     
  • Friday: Public Speaking & Advocacy
  • Group presentations and activities on public speaking, advocacy for global causes, and using effective communication to create positive change.
     
  • Saturday: Networking & Global Connections
  • Visit to CN Tower & Ripley’s Aquarium, focusing on networking, and building healthy relationships.
