The electronic translation service on the Toronto District School Board website is hosted by Google Translate, a third party service. The TDSB does not guarantee or warrant the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any translated information.
The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 100 languages, but does not capture all languages or dialects.
The basic translation goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material. Before you act on translated information, we encourage you to confirm any facts that are important to you or may affect any decisions you make.
The Toronto District School Board is committed to equity and community engagement, and by providing this tool, we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English.
The TDSB’s Student Equity Collective— a student-led group, created by the Director of Education, which addresses injustices, racism and hate in our school communities — is inviting you to participate in our first board-wide initiative: Speak Up: Show Us How You Combat Hate and Racism!
This is an opportunity for students, like you, to share with us what you’re doing in your school to combat hate and racism. It’s your chance to celebrate all the great work you and your peers have done to help to make positive change in the TDSB!

Your video should:
Your video can be submitted either as a class, a school, or school club. This initiative is focussed on students from Grade 7 to 12, but a group or class in any grade may submit a video.
Submitted videos will be reviewed by the members of the Student Equity Collective and the top 10 submissions will be featured in an year-end celebration that will recognize the awesome system-wide work being done to combat hate and racism.
To submit your entry, fill out this Google form.
Hurry, the deadline to submit is Wednesday, May 10, 2023
Good luck!
