Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute proudly announces that its girls’ robotics team, Bearbella Robotics #21393, has been selected to represent Canada at the prestigious FIRST Global Challenge in Athens, Greece from September 26th to 29th, 2024. FIRST Global Challenge is an international robotics competition that brings together young minds from around the world. The 190+ participating countries and teams collaborate, problem-solve, and design robots to address global challenges.
Each year, the FIRST Tech Challenge partners in Canada carefully choose a team to showcase Canadian talent on the global stage.
Dr. Norman Bethune CI’s Bearbella Robotics #21393 recently competed at the Provincial Championships in Kingston, Ontario. They were a member of the winning alliance and won 3rd Place in the Inspire Award category — an accolade that recognizes their outstanding teamwork, innovation, and community impact.
