Weston CI Student Excels at Harvard-MIT Math Tournament

Weston Collegiate Institute is proud to announce an extraordinary achievement by one of its talented students, Mishath T., at the prestigious Harvard-MIT Math Tournament (HMMT) held this November.

Mishath competed exceptionally against some of the brightest minds across America, scoring the following top ranks:

  • 1st Place in General Round and Sweepstakes: Displaying a deep understanding of complex mathematical concepts.
  • 2023 Integration Bee Champion: Showcasing his outstanding skills in calculus.
  • 2nd Place in Overall Individual Awards

HMMT: A Global Platform for Math Enthusiasts

The Harvard-MIT Math Tournament, founded in 1998, is a joint initiative by students from Harvard and MIT. This globally recognized tournament aims to present middle and high school students with challenging mathematical problems that extend beyond conventional school curriculum. With its commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, the tournament encourages students to explore advanced mathematical concepts and consider future opportunities in mathematics.
