The TDSB is proud to announce that two inspiring students achieved an average of 100% in their top six Grade 12 courses, earning them the honour of being named the TDSB Top Scholars for the 2022-23 school year. This year’s TDSB Top Scholars are:
Charlie Li, Sir Wilfrid Laurier CI
As one of the TDSB’s top scholars for the 2022-23 school year, Sir Wilfrid Laurier CI’s Charlie Li achieved an average of 100% in his top six Grade 12 courses while also participating in a wide variety of extracurricular activities, both in and outside of school. Enjoys spending time playing sports (volleyball, basketball and badminton), watching sports (Raptors and Blue Jays), and practicing the piano. In September, Charlie will be studying Computer Science at the University of Waterloo.
Hari Pillai, Emery CI
Not only did Emery CI’s Hari Pillai work incredibly hard to achieve an average of 100% in his graduating year, he was also very involved in his school community as a peer tutor, member of the GSA, student council and Reach for the Top team leader. Next year, Hari will be studying Health Sciences at Queen's University, with a long-term goal of pursuing medicine. Outside of school, Hari likes to spend time biking, playing basketball and volunteering at the Humber River Hospital.
Congratulations, Charlie and Hari, on this impressive achievement. The TDSB family wishes you all the best next year and in the future!
