Student Senate By-Election 2019-20

TDSB Student Senate is looking to fill the positions of Grade 7/8 Representative for Learning Centres 1 and 4. Candidates, and their campaign speeches, will be made available online on Wednesday, Oct. 23 - Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Voting will happen on Wednesday, Oct. 30!

 

 

Grade 7 and 8 Representative: One Position per Learning Centre (LC 1 and 4)

 

  • Must be in Grade 7 or 8 to apply for the position
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership, organization, communication and participation skills
  • Must be willing to commit time to ensure the success of Student Senate initiatives and activities
  • Upholds and promotes the Board’s mission and values in the performance of duties

Duties:

  • Act as a liaison between middle school students in their Learning Centre and the Student Senate
  • Assist the Learning Centre Co-Chairs and Secretary in facilitating their Learning Centre meetings and other Learning Centre responsibilities
  • Encourage middle school students to attend the Learning Centre meetings
  • Attend all Executive Meetings and Student Senate events
