Road to Reading is a newsletter to support early years educators in creating an intentional, responsive and comprehensive literacy program that supports the goal of all TDSB Grade 1 students being able to read with confidence, fluency, understanding and enjoyment.
Each issue of Road to Reading will include information, strategies and resources connected to various aspects of an effective literacy program (e.g, a breakdown of the components of a comprehensive literacy program, assessment, the learning environment, culturally relevant and responsive pedagogy, etc.) and will also include additional resources for educators to further explore.
