WHAT SETS US APART
Adam Beck is a dual track school which offers both an English and a French program. Both pathways begin in Kindergarten and end in Grade 6. French Immersion is an optional program which provides intensive instruction in French.
The French Immersion program develops in students a level of proficiency in French, while maintaining appropriate levels of English language skills. In other curriculum areas, when subjects are taught in French, outcomes parallel those of the regular English program, except that the language of instruction and learning materials are French.
At Adam Beck, Early French Immersion begins in Junior Kindergarten. Students begin to understand and use French in their own time, usually by the end of Senior kindergarten. English as a language is introduced in Grade 4 and by Grade 6, the English program increases to approximately half of the daily class time.
