WHAT SETS US APART
Parkdale PS believes that success builds success. We believe that all students can reach high levels of achievement. In balancing the acquisition of the foundational skills of literacy and numeracy, we place an emphasis on cross-curricular planning that promotes self-esteem and self-reflection through character education and culturally responsive pedagogy. Our programs help our students develop the knowledge, skills and values they need to become responsible members of our democratic society. Our school also promotes a shared responsibility between children, staff and parents to maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment which fosters cooperation, positive character development and respect for both self and others. Our partnership between home, school and community is integral to achieving this goal. Our motto of Parkdale P.R.I.D.E -Parkdale Respects Individual Developing Excellence- is at the forefront of all our daily and long term programming.
PARENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Our partnerships between home, school and community are integral to achieving our goals.
