Ogden Junior Public School's Mission Statement
Ogden is one of the oldest schools in Toronto. The original Phoebe Street School was erected on this site in 1855. Our current building constructed in 1957, features 14 classrooms and a spacious library, gymnasium and naturalized outdoor playground. The Ogden Day Care provides on-site childcare before, during and after the school day.
A Kind and Caring Learning Community
Ogden Jr. PS is a safe and caring learning environment. Our inclusive philosophy creates a community where all learners feel welcome and supported. We use restorative practices at Ogden where students have the opportunity to dialogue and make decisions in circle and restore relationships when they experience conflict.
Monthly Character Education assemblies reinforce the concept themes woven through each school month, such as: Empathy, Teamwork, Honesty and Perseverance.
Student Leaders organize School Spirit Days such as "Beach Day" and "Crazy Hair Day" which encourage fun and creativity while building a sense of community.
