Leslieville Junior Public School's Mission Statement
Leslieville P.S. has enjoyed a proud history in the Leslieville community. Today our school promotes academic excellence, offers a wide range of extra curricular activities including sports, writers clubs and choirs.
Leslieville has about 350 students in Grades JK to 6. It is a community school with an active parent council. We provide a wide ranging curriculum and extensive extracurricular program
Our school provides programs for kindergarten to grade six classes. We have a full time music teacher and a full time physical education teacher. We also have three special needs programs that service children from our own community and the wider community as well.

GO TEAM
At Leslieville we set high standards of achievement while offering a wide range of educaitonal experiences for our students. This September we will be offering a full day Kindergarten programme. We offer a series of extra curricular experiences to enhance the outstanding classroom programs. Ths includes various team sports including ice hockey,volleyball, basketball, badminton, two choirs and a writers club. We have also had presentations from the Toronto Symphony and Prologue for the Preforming Acts to enhance our students experiences. Through Model Schools our students have gone to Ontario Science Centre and the Art Gallery of Ontario. Model schools has also provided us with Vision Screening, Hearing Screening and access to medical assessments through the Sprucecourt Clinic
WHAT SETS US APART
Leslieville has built a series of partnerships with the wider community so that our children have had the opportunity to study gamelan percussion instruments at the Indonesian Consulate, study drama with staff from the Lorraine Kimsa Young People's Theater and attend a leadership camp at Brock University. We have been recognized for our eco schools program.
PARENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
We have an active parent council which works to support our classrooms. They provide fundraising to purchase educational technology, books for the classes and equipment for our extra curricular program, they fund performances which enrich our programing and other resources. They encourage community involvement with evening informaiton sessions, movie nights, bbqs and other events.
