General Brock Public School's Mission Statement

General Brock Public School is located on the north side of Chestnut Crescent, west of Birchmount and north of St. Clair Avenue East. It first opened in 1956 and was named after Sir Isaac Brock. General Brock Public School is committed to developing self-motivated students with the academic and social skills needed to embrace the challenges of today and tomorrow. It is our responsibility to provide opportunities for the development of the whole child academically, physically, socially and emotionally. General Brock staff believe that parents/guardians are our partners in education and we value ongoing communication so that together we may provide the best possible learning environment for each child.

Literacy

Our goal is to improve student achievement in literacy through a variety of programs and professional development. We will continue to participate in Professional Learning Communities to focus on developing the students' higher level thinking skills and their ability to express their thinking in writing.  We strongly believe that all students can learn and that we have the obligation and privilege to create opportunities that will help all students to reach their full potential.
