VISA/ International Student Programs
We provide intensive language support for our large VISA and newcomer student population. In addition to ESL courses, we offer academic courses in Business, Canadian History, Geography, Careers and Civics, Aboriginal Arts, Science and Technological Education that are especially designed for English Language Learners and taught by caring and dedicated ESL teachers. Our support services help students to improve their English quickly. Our library has a First Language Library collection. Our newcomer program welcomes all ELL students and plans fun, social activities to ease their transition.

Student Support Centre
Our Student Support Centre provides wrap-around support for a variety of student needs, by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
Robotics/Engineering Program
L’Am is one of the pioneer robotics programs in the TDSB. Students integrate technology, physics, & computer science in order to design, build, program and evaluate robotic systems. The teams are involved in real-life project management experiences as they enter their robots in various robotics competitions. L’Am consistently wins awards at LEGO, Vex, & First Robotics.
Extended French
Students in Extended French Programs develop French language skills by participating in day trips and overnight excursions to French-speaking locales. Students also make cultural connections, Skyping with students from around the world and travelling to France in their senior year.
Outward Bound
Don’t Miss the Adventure of a Lifetime. We are excited about our relationship with Outward Bound Canada. OBC’s mission is to cultivate resilience, leadership, connections and compassion through inspiring and challenging journeys of self-discovery in the natural world. Our relationship includes courses that explore Canada’s North and push you to your limits.

GO TEAM
A L’Am student takes pride in who they are and where they come from, but always strives to be more than they are. We strongly believe that classes are only a part of the larger high school experience that will help you to reach your full potential. As such, we are committed to providing a robust co-curricular program. Our Student Leadership Opportunities include: SAC, L’Am Leadership, Peer Mentors, Athletic Council, PALS, Model UN, Radio L’Am, LESS, SAT, and Stage Crew. Our Sports Teams include: Cricket, Dragon Boat, Field Hockey, Swimming, Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball, Cross Country, and Track & Field. Our Student Clubs include: Mechatronics Club, Robotics Club, Drama Club, Music Council, Yearbook Club, Chinese Youth Club, Christian Fellowship, Muslim Student Association, Boys to Men, and Girl Talk. There is something here for everyone.
