Arrival Information

We would like to welcome all international students coming to study at the TDSB. Please review the following information before you plan your trip to Toronto.

Elementary Students

Step 1

Reporting to International Students and Admissions Office with the following documents:

  • Study Permit (copy only)
  • Passport (copy only)
  • Notarized Custodian Documents (2 copies)
  • Proof of address of Custodian/Parent (2 pieces)
  • Missing documents listed in the Official Letter of Acceptance Package (copy only)
  • Completed Newcomer Profile Form (2 copies)
  • Immunization Record (copy only)

Student will receive a registration package to bring to school.

Step 2

Registration is completed at assigned school

Custodian/Parent and student bring the registration package to school.

 

 

Reporting and Orientation Schedule for September 2019 Intake

Reporting Dates August 19-23 (8:30am to 4:30pm)

Secondary Students

Step 1

Reporting to International Students and Admissions Office at designated venue on specified dates with the following documents

  • Study Permit (copy only)
  • Passport (copy only)
  • Notarized Custodian Documents (2 copies)
  • Missing documents listed in the Official Letter of Acceptance Package (copy only)
  • Completed Newcomer Profile Form (2 copies)
  • Most recent school report cards/transcripts (copy only)
  • Immunization Record (copy only)

Student will receive a registration package to bring to school.

Assessment (ESL and Maths)

Step 3

Registration is completed at your school

Custodian/Parent and Student go to designated school to register and select courses

Note: Students who are late for the summer school are encouraged to join the program but may not be able to earn the credit for the course they select.

 

 

Mandatory Orientation and Summer School for 2019-2020 Secondary International Students

Secondary international students new to the TDSB and who are starting school in September 2019 will participate in the Orientation and Summer School Program.

Students choose one course from the following list of exciting learning opportunities. Courses available include:

This exciting opportunity is only for students who start in September. This Orientation & Summer School program will support students in making friends, becoming familiar with the TDSB and building a stronger network of support.
