NSBA New Orleans 2024

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is the largest and one of the most diverse school boards in Canada. We serve approximately 238,000 students in nearly 600 schools throughout Toronto. Our staff members are the backbone of the system. A talented community of educators and support staff are dedicated to enriching the lives of all students and helping them achieve success. The TDSB employs approximately 42,000 individuals who build a positive learning environment by supporting our Strategic Directions and Mission Statement.

Our standards are high because our students are our number one priority.

Multi-Year Strategic Plan 2024-28

MYSP

The TDSB is currently renewing its Multi-year Strategic Plan (MYSP), which sets direction and identifies system goals to support the TDSB’s 238,000 students and nearly 600 schools. The updated MYSP is expected to launch in late April 2024.

Following engagement with all segments of the TDSB community, the MYSP reflects the valuable input received and meets the needs of the current system. With updated guiding principles, strategic directions, conditions for success, and indicators of progress, the renewed MYSP will guide and focus the Board’s work for the next four years (2024-28). TDSB Census 2023

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Student Census was conducted in the spring of 2023 (April to June). It is a confidential and voluntary survey that asks important questions about students’ school experiences and identities. The Student Census, conducted every five years since 2006, allows school communities to determine what is working well, where change is required, and where support should be focused to improve school environments and help every student succeed. For more information, view our Student Census webpage.
