Wednesday, January 31, 2018 is Bell Let’s Talk Day.

The TDSB will be joining the conversation on Twitter using the hashtag #BellLetsTalk to help dispel the stigma around mental health, and to help promote and raise awareness about TDSB programs, services and supports.

Every day, staff across the TDSB focus on creating learning environments that are safe, welcoming, caring and inclusive for each and every student, because we know that good mental health and well-being play a critical role in the success of our students.

Some of the many ways we do that include: raising understanding and awareness of the factors that can affect students’ mental health and well-being; talking openly, with each other and with our students, about the importance of having a caring adult they can turn to as they learn how to deal with life’s challenges; and supporting every student to develop optimism, self-confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging.

The TDSB also provides mentoring and a range of supports for those students who may be experiencing greater challenges, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, mood disorders and more.

To join the conversation with us, follow @S4WOfficialTDSB, @TDSB_MHWB and @TDSB on Twitter or for more information on the supports available to students, please visit our website.
