CBRM (Resource & HSP)

Community-Based Resource Model (CBRM)
The CBRM supports students who require special education services in their local schools from Kindergarten to Grade 8. The CBRM encompasses the Resource Program and the Home School Program.

Resource Program

There are three settings associated with the Resource Program: Indirect Support, Resource Assistance and Withdrawal Assistance. Exceptional students are placed in the program through an IPRC. Non-identified students may be placed in the program on the recommendation of the In-school Support Team or School Support Team.

Home School Program (HSP)
Students in the HSP receive support for at least 50% of the school day. Exceptional students are placed in the program through an IPRC. Non-identified students may be placed in the program on the recommendation of the School Support Team (link to SST, under processes).
