XoTO Film Permits

With the collaboration and support of the local film industry, the City of Toronto has established a pilot project with the Toronto District School Board. The xoTO project will enable and enhance access for location filming and parking lot usage on TDSB properties as well as create interactive educational opportunities for TDSB students, particularly those in creative arts programs.

The Pilot Program features eleven TDSB properties that are pre-approved for location filming. xoTO permit holders will have a 72-hour permit turnaround and a special daily rate card. The scouting and permit application processes are streamlined for each of these properties, with designated senior permit personnel servicing permit applications for this program.

In an effort to reduce pressure on Toronto’s streets, the xoTO Schools pilot project also facilitates usage of TDSB parking lots throughout the City for either the parking of production trucks or for replacement of metered or permit parking spaces being occupied by production trucks.

The xoTO Schools pilot project will run for a limited time as per the Agreement between the City of Toronto and TDSB.
