Participating in local school fundraising activities can be a fun and valuable experience for students. In addition to raising money, fundraising can be a creative and collaborative effort of parents, students, teachers and the school community. 

Fundraising is considered any local school activity that generates revenue and/or in-kind resources, such as the sale of products and services, charitable donations, grants and sponsorships.  All Fundraising activities must be approved by the school principal.

Fundraising should not support basic education requirements but rather enhance programs and support school initiatives or other external causes. Schools may also choose to fundraise for local school initiatives that enhance programs or to support
Toronto Foundation for Student Success the Board’s registered charity, but operated independently.
