Writers in Residence

We are thrilled to be able to connect TDSB students with Canadian authors through the Writers in Residence program. The program brings Canadian writers into schools across the TDSB to work with students of all ages in nurturing a life-long joy of reading and writing as they celebrate the power of “sharing our stories”.

Connecting directly with students at school and through system-wide literacy initiatives, the authors inspire creativity, deep thinking and provide insights into the creative process that promotes a strong foundation in literacy development.

Watch for announcements of reading and writing events with our Writers in Residence throughout the school year and become eligible for an author visit to your school through student and staff book review submissions to Just Read It.
